Pattu Mama represents the traditional attire of a South Indian Brahmin, dressed in a panchakacham (a dhoti-style drape) that offers comfort and coolness, perfect for the hot Indian climate. He may wear a shirt, although it is often omitted, and complements his look with an angavastram (a shawl) to cover the upper torso. While the younger generation tends to favor the simpler veshti drape, panchakachams are reserved for special occasions and festivals. A kudumi or shika (a tuft or knot of hair) atop the head remains a traditional symbol among many Brahmins, completing his cultural ensemble.
Wash Care instructions: To maintain their quality, follow these washing guidelines:
• Surface clean carefully with a damp cloth to remove dust or dirt.
• Air dry in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not machine wash or soak in water.
By following these instructions, the dolls will remain in excellent condition for years to come!
Note: We strive to maintain the authenticity and charm of each handmade fabric doll while embracing the uniqueness of handcrafted artistry. Subtle differences in colours, patterns, and accessories are part of the doll’s one-of-a-kind appeal.
