Muthu is dressed in a traditional veshti—a white fabric draped around the waist—paired with a shirt. While once a common daily outfit, the veshti is now typically worn for traditional ceremonies and special occasions in South India. Its light and breathable fabric makes it ideal for the region’s hot and humid climate. In Kerala, this garment is known as a mundu.
